Over time, the native silversmiths acquired more advanced tools and techniques, and they were able to create new jewelry forms and styles. The first Southwest handmade beads tended to be large and spherical, and would be cut or stamped with additional decoration when applicable. The Navajo in particular made significant contributions to the craft in the late 19th century, after experimenting with a wide array of shapes, sizes, weights, and decorative flourishes. ![]() Our Native American beaded necklaces are the result of a time-worn craft directly contributed to by well-regarded Native American artists hailing from the American Southwest, where the most advanced development of silver bead-making was first realized. From time to time, we will carry multiple strand necklaces as well as turquoise and gemstone beads that can be mixed in with the silver. Our silver beads are available in varying millimeter sizes and lengths. Our sterling silver bead necklaces also support pendants for additional personalization. ![]() We carry both bench beads and spun beads which are available in single strands, which can be worn as necklaces.
